Leif Garrett Busted For Drugs - Again

Troubled teen actor Leif Garrett has once again been arrested for drug possession.

Garrett, now 48, was busted for possession of a controlled substance while waiting at a Metrolink station in downtown L.A. on Monday.

Cops say while on a routine patrol they observed the actor acting suspicious, and after a search, found drugs and arrested him.

Leif bonded out by Wednesday and will appear back in court to plead the charges at a later date.

Garrett is no stranger to drugs, cops, or the metrolink.

Back in 2006 he was arrested for riding a train without a ticket. Cops found heroin and quaaludes on his person.

His mug shot and other photos quickly made the rounds adding to his insult.

The former child actor started his career at the age of five and had numerous major film, television roles and hit music singles. By age 17 his troubles began when in 1979, he wrecked his car while drunk.

The accident left his passenger and best friend Roland Winkler a paraplegic.

He continued to struggle with drug abuse over the years, and was arrested for cocaine possession in 2005, before violating his probation resulting in a 90-day jail sentence following his 2006 Metrolink arrest.

Ryan O'Neal And Son Redmond Arrested For Meth Possession

Ryan O'Neal and his son, Redmond, were arrested and booked on narcotics possession today after a probation officer searched the actor's Malibu home, police said.

Cops found Redmond O'Neal, 24, with meth-amphetamine, while a small container of the drug was also found in Ryan O'Neal's bedroom. Both are being held on $10,000 bail.

Ryan and Redmond O'Neal were arrested about 7:15 a.m. during a probation search on a drug related case involving young Redmond. The two were taken to the sheriff's office in Malibu and jailed. Redmond, whose real mother is actress Farrah Fawcett, was arrested last year on heroin and crystal meth possession while driving under the influence in California.

In another indecent from 2005, Redmond was placed on five years probation after an arrest for meth-amphetamine and cocaine possession.

Father Ryan O'Neal, 67, was arrested last year on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and careless discharge of a firearm after firing a gun during an argument with another son, Griffin O'Neal.

Ryan O'Neal has recently been seen on the television series "Bones", and has starred in "Irreconcilable Differences", "A Bridge Too Far", "Paper Moon", and over one hundred episodes of the smash hit soap opera "Payton Place" during the 1960's.

When this family implodes, they do it in a big way - just like they did on Payton Place.

Tatum O'Neal Speaks With Oprah Winfrey About Drug Bust - Video

Tatum O'Neal took advantage of her first televised interview since her crack bust three months ago in New York.

The Oscar winning actress says her June 8, 2008 drug arrest and conviction scared her straight.

The "Paper Moon" star told Oprah she would probably still be using cocaine and spiraling out of control if not for the police intervention after the drug purchase and arrest.

O'Neal told Winfrey,

"I felt very alone in my apartment, I felt helpless. I got close to relapsing. It was close enough. Too close for comfort."

In addition to "Paper Moon", the actress also starred in "The Bad News Bears", "International Velvet", "The Scoundrel's Wife" with Tim Curry, and recently appeared in fifty-one episodes of the television series "Wicked Wicked Games", about a scorned woman who plots revenge against the man who abandoned her 25 years earlier in order to marry another woman.

O'Neal is currently wrapping up work on the dramatic "Saving Grace", due in theaters later this year, and starring Michael Biehn. The film, set in a 1950s-era Missouri town where the life of a couple is thrown into chaos when the husband's sister is released from the local asylum and comes to live with the family.
