WGN wins awards

The WGN Radio news department won a few awards this week. From Radio-Online...

"WGN-AM/Chicago has taken top honors in the Metro Radio division of the Illinois Associated Press Broadcasters Association 2010 Journalism Excellence contest. The WGN news staff won first place in the Metro Radio (Chicago and St. Louis) division for Outstanding News Operation. It also took the award for Best Newscast, with an entry that included reporting by Jim Gudas, Rob Hart, Orion Samuelson and Dave Eanet."

Congrats to the winners and to news director Charlie Meyerson.
