Zooey at The Dollhouse

This was made for Erin Fetherston's fashion line at Target from a couple of years ago; featuring almost every theme I've been discussing lately, enjoy (it doesn't have Zooey in it btw). Latest episode of Dollhouse had some interesting themes (including authentic sounding trigger phrases, Oswald Patton as a billionaire user [I had bad feelings from this episode, most of it was spent justifying slavery], interesting interviews with fake people on the street calling the 'dollhouse' human trafficking and slavery, with others saying it's a great idea; I'd like to post them but can't find a good video, watch the trailer for some of the themes). The above images (lots of split mind/one eye/compartmentalization symbolism on the poster, and obviously multiple Zooeys in the bus) are from her upcoming movie where she plays 'Summer' (so sun, hence the sun symbolism on the poster also) in 500 Days of Summer.

This was made last year, with 21st Century Wizard of Oz' Dorothy in Tin Man Zooey Deschanel, directed by Ellen Von Enwerth for Erin Fetherston with Zooey acting dissociative, there isn't much symbolic imagery but still pretty interesting. I've posted on Zooey a few times before, i.e. in The Happening and watched Sci-Fi's version of Wizard of Oz back when it aired with great interest. She is Erin's main model for her fashion line, her sister Emily is the star of the TV show Bones (I've been neglecting lately, there have been things worth posting on in recent episodes) and their father is Caleb Deschanel, a famous cinematographer who directed 3 episodes of Twin Peaks and has worked on various other MK movies and was one of the original members of the American Zoetrope production company along with Lucas and co (Caleb married Mary Jo Weir, who herself acted in Twin Peaks; probably MK'd).

"Deschanel lived in Los Angeles, but spent much of her childhood traveling because her father shot films on location; she later said that she "hated all the traveling[...]I'm really happy now that I had the experience, but at the time I was just so miserable to have to leave my friends in Los Angeles and go to places where they didn't have any food I liked or things I was used to."[3] She attended Crossroads, a private preparatory school in Santa Monica, California, where she befriended future co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Kate Hudson.[2]" [posted on the Gyllenhaals and the Hudsons in the past (Zooey lookalike Katy Perry's surname used to be Hudson btw)]

She has a music career (with M. Ward), above she sings "Dream a Little Dream" (and those eyes, wow). And another MK themed song below with "Hello Dolly" [these are mostly for entertainment, she's done other MK themed songs like Nina Simone's "I Put A Spell On You" too]

This image of Zooey with her kitten I posted comparing her with ultra-Kitten Katy Perry a while back, it's insane how much they look alike (due to various potential reasons which you can speculate on; tbh there are some pretty clear differences anyway). I'd also put Emily Blunt in that category as she looks a little similar, who like Zooey guest-starred on The Simpsons. I'll just include a few comparison images (wearing same sunglasses also) and a recent Katy Perry image, in kitten Daisy Lowe's trademark leopard leotard. Every time Katy does anything these days she's wearing some kind of kitten suggestive clothing, it's a little ridiculous and I can't keep up; images stockpiled for future posts though.

Zo and Em... [Oz and M(+lily and Emily/Miley anagram)]

... who also has pretty creepy eyes (click for full size).

Two Kittens, Zooey + Emily in leopard-print [heh @ Animal Planet].

Welcome to Stage 23.

Remember the kitten photo and such, her movie roles are certainly not coincidental and seem to be obviously related to her kitten programming; in Flakes she plays, 'Miss Pussy Katz' and she has played a disproportionate amount of Kate's Katie's Kit's Kat's etc (just look at the list! with lots of other things worth noting, she played ALMA [if you've played FEAR you may get this significance] in the aforementioned Happening, another Dorothy in Jesse James, an Allison [Alice] in Yes Man etc).

These large crayon ones are from a photo shoot called 'Perfectly Purple', below she's in a purple tutu.

The above two (cain + magician's rabbit out of a tophat trick) are by Ellen Von Unwerth also; check out this random (not Zooey) vid made by Ellen for more (pink, man size) rabbits.

Started work on a Disney + Alice in Wonderland (the above image of Zooey comes from an event called "Disney's Alice In Wonderland Mad Hatter Tea Party" in 2005) post which may take me a few days to finish btw (then I'm doing a Natasha Richardson post), probably do some quick posts to fill the gap in the mean time though.
